Stu Jackson steps down

Postby JSM on Wed Jul 10, 2013 5:11 pm

Marc J. Spears ‏@SpearsNBAYahoo 1h
NBA announces that Stu Jackson steps down as Executive VP of Basketball Operations. Rod Thorn named President of Basketball Operations.

The league will be in much better hands come next Feb. The old regime will be out -- Jackson and Stern.

:man6: These are tears of joy.

:jam2: Good riddance. Hopefully the new guy will give better reasonings than "unnatural basketball act", and be a little more open and hold refs more accountable. Hey, I can dream right? :man10:

Wow, we got two schmucks out in the same year. Stu garbage and that elf are gone. Thorn is a great pick up and I am hearing good things about Adam Silver. Hopefully they can take the league to a new level less the bull.

Thorn has been a hard-nosed manipulator as a GM. Competent in the front office, no doubt, but not my favorite guy. I really don't know how that will translate into the league FO but I suppose we can only go up. :man12:
