I got these numbers from Rashidi. Anyway, these are defensive synergy numbers (points per possession) for every SF in the league.

The first number is opponent's points per possession (how many points the opponent scored per possession). The second number is the number of possessions.

I think a lot of people thought that Paul George was one of the best defenders last season. But it's insane to see it in a numerical perspective. He defended nearly 50% more possessions than any other SF in the league! In addition to that, his opponent's ppp is an extremely low 0.82.

I remember getting a lot of flack last season when I said Pierce was not a bad defender (when he was being compared to Gay). Pierce is in elite company.
