Terry thinks he deserves to have his Mavs jersey retired

So, let's assume Terry was "all star caliber". He never was an all star, but assuming he got robbed one or two years, is that worthy of having a jersey retired?

Bruce was the backbone to the Spurs defense. He hit big shots constantly for them and was their lock down defender (even if most say it was dirty) for his whole career if not a great chunk of it. They credit him with as much for their Championships as Duncan, Parker and Gino. I didn't think his Jersey should be retired but I understood where the SPurs was coming from. Jason Terry's impact for the Mav's doesn't touch Bruces for the Spurs. Terry shouldn't get his Jersey retired at a McDonalds even if he bought the McDonalds himself.

Ridiculous statement. Terry is one of the best sixth men of all time. In his prime he was an All Star caliber player definitely more than a solid role player. Most teams would retire his jersey. The only team that wouldn't is the Lakers.

You missed the ":" after "ridiculous statement". Its an easy mistake to make. Without the ":" it lookas if you are saying nameant's statement was ridiculous when it is obvious that what you wrote after "ridiculous statement" was, in fact, your example of a ridiculous statement. Hopefully everyone noticed that you just missed the ":" and doesn't attack your stance which is pretty easily seen as a misunderstanding.

I have to agree with Terry here. He did contribute a lot to Dallas, and winning a championship. And looking at their rafters, the standards are not really that high to go up there.

Terry ALWAYS has talked a lot of ish and Cuban said he will probably end up in the rafters ... this is the Mavs we are talking about , the franchise who put a banner for each series they won during their title run ... we Lakers fans always forget we live in a fantasy world
