I hope that they give a refund to all those who bought tickets for that game or give the $$$ they got from tickets for this game to the victims of the bombings

NBA cancels Tuesday night Celtics’ game in Boston in wake of marathon tragedy

This is simply the right thing to do.

The NBA has cancelled the Indiana Pacers visit to the TD Garden in Boston scheduled for Tuesday night in the wake of the terrible tragedy Monday at the Boston Marathon.

The game will not be replayed at a later date. This game will not impact the final standings in the East — the Celtics are locked in as the seven seed (and will face the Knicks in the first round). The Pacers are locked in as the three seed (they will face either the Bulls or Hawks).

Bombs set off near the finish line of the Boston Marathon Monday killed two people — one an eight-year-old — and more than 100 people have been injured.

The thoughts of all of us at PBT are with the people of Boston and those who know people hurt in this horrific tragedy.

Tickets are usually refunded for any major event that's canceled.

Well there goes some fantasy points!

Nah, this is okay. I appreciate what they're doing. Personally, I wouldn't cancel it. I think it provides a good way for people to sort of escape the reality of the situation a bit and maybe take it easy for a few hours...

But this is fine. Just a difference of opinion.

I agree with you but I understand why they would cancel it. What a horrific situation. I can't imagine what the people who where there and got hurt are going through.

Agreed. What ever way they choose to handle this situation is perfectly fine with me.
