The Chris "Travel Dance" Duhon Thread

when he drives he gets in the lane and too the rim but instead of just taking the shot he probes and ends up turning it over or just giving it to kobe.

would like him to look to score when he drives bc he has the layup almost everytime. theres a defender but if he gets it up quick enough then its an easy 2 points.

the turnover he had at the end of the 3rd completely destroyed any momentum and hope for coming back

Those back to back 3s he took were awful. He's a freaking PG. Move the ball. Create. That's your job Chris.

duhon is playing exactly like we all thought he would

no surprise that he's terrible. this is the same guy many were calling the worst player in the league last season

as terrible as blake is, i'd still take him over duhon

and that's really saying something, i've maintained that blake is nothing but garbage for a while now but he's still better than duhon

This dude has trailed off considerably since he started getting minutes... I don't know if it's because of inconsistent minutes or what, but his production is making me miss Blake a little... and that's scary.

If it comes down to me missing Blake I think we need a change in that situation.

Duhon is by far not the worst player in the league. With inconsistent playing time this type of stretches happen.

Is he good? no. He sucks. But he doesn't suck as hard as some other players.

i don't remember the last game that i saw duhon play reasonably well. i'd rather have ebanks out there, at least he's long and athletic. let morris be the backup PG if duhon is going to be this bad.

The Duhon playing the last few weeks, is the Duhon I thought we were getting from Orlando. I remember reading how terrible he was from their fans, I remember seeing how bad his stats were, and from all MAgic games I caught he looked terrible, as I described him then, like Fisher but without the clutch ability and leadership. I really hope he at least goes back to being an average backup, or man he's starting to make having Blake back look good.

Gotta give "Travel Dance" his dues, he lost his backup role to Blake and yet this guy is still full of energy on the bench and does everything he can to keep guys pumped, same with Sacre. Every team needs energy players who keep things rowdy and I have to give this guy his props for staying ready when his number is called and for not pouting just because his PT has been cut down.

He honestly strikes me as a dude without much worries. I don't know that he cares all that much (relatively of course) about his playing time, he's a professional in that respect.

I'll give him props for coming in and having a couple really nice dimes to Clark and to Sacre. It's important that when we bring in our PG off the bench, the offense doesn't get away from what we want. It can be a different look, but it needs to be the same idea: get the ball inside.

He and Blake do a good job of penetrating (whoa that sounds weird) and giving the ball to cutters. It's a slightly different look than Nash who attacks with the pick and roll and really picks apart defenses. And of course both are pretty different from the "Kobe-post-up" offense. It's a luxury and a great one to have when you can attack from so many different places.

He's absolutely a pro and from all appearances a great teammate. He's not playing much now, but with Nash's age and Blake's weird injury history he always needs to be ready.

So I was at a bar in Beverly Hills tonight for my friend's birthday and who walks in at around 11 pm? Chris Duhon lol. He played shuffleboard right next to me the whole time until the bar closed and had like 5 or 6 drinks. He wasn't nice until he got buzzed. :man10:

Watched all of the game, but my eyes weren't focused on Duhon on the pine. However with the following reports, I am going to need video evidence...

Dave McMenamin ‏@mcten
Chris Duhon, perhaps giddy by his Orlando return, just broke out a two-handed, six-fingered dance to celebrate Nash burying a triple

Dave McMenamin ‏@mcten
Chris Duhon did his little 3-point dance again when Meeks hit that corner 3. C'mon C-Du, this needs to become a recurring thing.

Besides Meeks staying and Sacre probably staying, Lakers have decided not to bring back Duhon and Ebanks. Morris might return.

Thanks for teaching the team a couple new dance moves.

I'm confused about Duhon contract situation. He's not a free agent this year. He's got 1 more year. I'm thinking the Lakers must've bought out his contract.

It's probably just a team option then and we declined.

Nah, his contract was only partially guaranteed this season at something like 2-3 million (instead of 5). We had to have bought him out.
