Wait, not sure I'm reading this right, it's ok to use "gay" as a substitute for "stupid" because gay was originally changed from "happy" to "homosexual"? Don't really care if that's what you're saying, but I just don't personally agree.

Fine.... disagree but the fact is that the word's meaning was something else 40 years ago. That's all I'm saying. Saying one group can't use it in a certain way while another can redefine and then persecute others for doing the same seems a little odd to me.... especially from a tolerance and acceptance point of view.

Do you also not agree with all of the other parts of the English language that are redefined by youth culture on a generational basis... at what point does it become disagreeable to continue revising or adding definitions? Who gets to determine that and why?
