Timberwolves, I'm told, are in advanced discussions with Sacramento on a deal that would swap Derrick Williams for Luc Mbah A Moute

Mbah a Moute is a decent defender. Kings need D. Not sure why they'd trade him.

Laughably bad trade value for a recent 2nd pick. Way to go Minny

Williams may very well be out of the league in a year or two….. It looks like a steal from my perspective. They get a serviceable player for one that wasn't contributing. Maybe Williams turns it around…. the odds are stacked against him. He's had plenty of chances to get better and hasn't. It isn't as if the coaching staff in Min is against developing players.

Trade completed with Kings getting forward Derrick Williams from Wolves for Luc Mbah a Moute.

Now the question is. Do the Kings get rid of Williams faster or slower than they did Thomas Robinson?

Pete D’Alessandro said that Derrick Williams will start at small forward for the Kings, at least initially. I'll post entire interview soon.

Maybe ShaqTown sees something in him that no one else does….. he's shown very little to this point.

He's an "expiring" this year isn't he? Maybe that had something to do with it?

He's on the books for 6 million and some change next year. A good sized QO following that.

definitely don't like that they're trying him at sf. he's not a good fit on either end there. he's got to be a smallball pf to stick in the league, imo. and I believe he can play that spot in the right situation. look at what earl clark did there at times last year and what Terrence jones has done in the same role in Houston. Williams is much more talented than either.
