For what it's worth, the Lakers also clinched the Pacific Division, an achievement Bryant dismissed by saying "We don't hang divisions." No, only the big NBA championship banners are considered wall-worthy for the Lakers.

Some teams do. Not Kobe but a "Kobe". :man12:

But Memphis does not, that's for sure.

Too bad the Spurs are going to the finals. They match up badly with the Heat. Their perimeter defenders are not as good as Indiana's.

I won't watch ESPN until the next basketball season starts because Miami will definitely win the title playing San Antonio.

Can I just point out that I was the only one that believed the Spurs could win against Memphis? And now they're looking like it's going to be a sweep... so let's wait until the Spurs and Heat are actually playing before saying San Antonio doesn't have a chance.

Spurs will defeat Miami if they do end up facing in the NBA finals. Everyone count them out against the Warriors, Memphis, heck even we thought we would beat them, yet they stand here one game away from sweeping the same team that destroyed the Clippers and Thunder, 2 teams that were projected to reach the NBA finals. With that being said, Spurs in 6 to win the NBA finals against the Heat.

^That's an interesting prediction. I can't stand either one of those teams, personally. If I had to pick, I would probably go with Miami in 6. The Spurs have been impressive this series, though. They have responded to the challenge.

This series show how bad Del Negro and Brooks are at coaching ... you double the post and Memphis can't score ... nothing complicated here

Poor Grizzlies. They can't compete against the Spurs.

Duncan has that look in his eyes. He's ready to dominate vs the Heat. I'm not even sure how he can move so well...

San Antonio just doesn't match up well with Miami. No one can to be honest with you. I know the series isn't over between them and Indiana but even Indiana whom I thought would actually give them fits seemed like little puppy dogs with their tails tucked yesterday. Miami knows that too, and they are probably already making championship shirts for the Heat.

Miami has always had issues with excellent PG's. Cole and Chalmers are acceptable for what they can do but they are not Parker. 2013 Wade isn't the 2012 Wade, let alone the 2006 Wade. Bosh isn't handling Duncan by himself. Ray Allen and Battier will be bothered into subpar 3 shooting series like they are now against Indy since the Spurs play to push 3 shooters off the arc like Indy is doing now. Duncan has the fire in his belly, Pop will manage his minutes and Miami will have to throw bodies at him to slow him down. I think we are about to see true greatness from Duncan coming up. Only Lebron can outplay the Spurs for an entire series, that's it and it might not be enough. It will be very competitive. 7 games are a good possibility.

Is it just me or have there been a ton of loose ball fouls called on Memphis tonight?

Ugh. Well, it doesn't look fun for me for the Finals. Personally, I'm with most here - even with the Spurs playing well currently, Miami looks like a very bad matchup for them. I actually thought Memphis matched up much better.

Wade's injury makes things a little better fot the Spurs. The thing that doesn't bode well for them is this version of the Spurs like to move and push the ball.... They will always be the second best team on the floor against Miami playing that style. They have one distinct advantage..... Pops.... If he can change them into an effective defensive team while grinding it out they have a punchers chance.

It was a good run for the Grizz but the veteran savvy of the Spurs just out-executed them. Good luck in the Finals. I sure as hell would rather see them win it all than Miami.

Congrats to the Spurs. Hopefully, they understand Miami's weakness in the frontcourt and play a little more through Duncan in the post.

They have a second distinct advantage: Duncan. Duncan is not Perkins or Ibaka. He'll be the best post player Miami's ever opposed in the playoffs (sorry D12).
