This suspension thing is totally ridiculous. Gimme a break - 3 lousy games after being convicted of a federal crime. Sometimes the NBA is such a joke. And the truth is that Webber has never once shown any remorse for this whole fiasco. Webber is damn lucky I didn't go to U. of Michigan - I think I would sue him myself for all the problems he has caused that school.
Just think about it - he took hundreds of thousands of $$ from someone who was making money in a large gambling operation; if he had just admitted that like the 4 other players who did, everyone would have forgiven him. But no, he went on for years, lying about it and claiming he never took the money - all the way until the day before he was on trial, and even after federal prosecutors went after his father and aunt. What a scumbag.
Now, Michigan can't be in the tourny, has to take down anything associated with that basketball team. Webber says Michigan owes him $$ - forgetting that he got a free education from one of the best schools in the country and the opportunity to play on a nationally-ranked team with huge national exposure. Webber is such a punk.
Finally, the Sac Bee reported today that Webber was "limping" after practice yesterday. I think it is clear that he wasn't ready to play.
If the Kings had any courage at all, they would get rid of this guy.
