i think it'd be fitting that the rockets upset OKC in the first game. since we were all like "yay san antonio" then got our a**es handed to us

So was that play where Harden ran into 2 defenders standing there and fell to the ground like he was hit by 2 guys in an NFL game his first flopping violation? :man10:

Houston and OKC are similar in that they only un isos and pick n rolls. Unfortunately for Houston, OKC's better at it.

Wow, the ref was RIGHT there. It's OKC at home though, we all know the kind of treatment they get there.

lol, like chandler parsons was going to block that shot anyway. i'm sure okc would trade that call for several of the harden "ram into retreating defender" specials.

^^abeer, that no call was crazy. He may not have blocked it. I'm in agreement with you there. But that's so blatant, you almost have to call that.

i'm sure asik got away with same on the other end more than once. and again, if people want to complain about officiating, complain about how harden gets treated on most forays to the hoop. this is a minor crime in comparison to the advantage houston receives throughout the game.

Yeah I hate the Thunderefs but Harden getting calls like he's the best player in the league is a disgrace

Let's just say both teams' reliance on the refs will be their undoing.

You make it sound like the 06' Finals and Wade treatment the way Harden gets calls. It's no where near that serious. Minor crime? Over-exaggeration imo. Sure, Harden gets some calls. What star player doesn't? But he racks up FTA because he's crafty around the rim.

Westbrook going down may have just killed OKC's ability to get by Houston let alone the Finals again. wow.
For what it's worth, the Lakers also clinched the Pacific Division, an achievement Bryant dismissed by saying "We don't hang divisions." No, only the big NBA championship banners are considered wall-worthy for the Lakers.

He's crafty, I give him that, but IMO he gets the most "star treatment" in the league. He's a blatant flopper, and will get rewarded for very frequently.
He's a very good player, but once you take away the excessive calls and FTA, he's kinda exposed, he doesn't really know how to be effective.. He needs to alter that, improve on other areas in his game instead of relying on the refs making life easy for him. His mid-range J is good but he doesn't use it frequently, he doesn't post-up much, he ISOs way too much..
He can be much better than this.

They'll get by Houston. 0-2 is a huge deficit to come back from, they don't have HCA, and OKC still has KD and other capable guys. The series against LAC/MEM will be MUCH harder.
