I knew when this kid had his first injury this stuff would happen. Nobody is that healthy for very long.

Well nobody but AC Green.

Was that the same knee he hurt in the playoffs?

I think Durant is good enough to keep them competitive during this time similar to Kobe in '06, he has that type of scoring ability. . We are talking about probably the 2nd best player in the NBA and there are plenty of bad and mediocre teams out there to beat. What matters is Westbrook being back for the playoffs, and 4-6 weeks will have him back way before that. Also, we have seen very little of Jeremy Lamb, this could be an opportunity for him to break out some.

Durant exposed? Durant un-leashed is more like it.

That team kept the wrong guard and it will show in the next couple of years. It might show now.... he can put up great numbers but he also limits his teammates opportunities and limits the diversity of their offense from a traditional position of diversification.

I suspect you will see Durant's number go up a little but you will see the other step up now that the ball isn't in Westbrook's hands 60% of the time.

Can Westbrook return to his former skill? The dude has NEVER been injured.
For what it's worth, the Lakers also clinched the Pacific Division, an achievement Bryant dismissed by saying "We don't hang divisions." No, only the big NBA championship banners are considered wall-worthy for the Lakers.

Well we all saw what happened in the playoffs without Westbrook ... opponents focused on KD even more and the role players of OKC couldn't step it up ( minus Jackson at times) ...

The offense was still a mess , OKC offense playbook is just very poor ... looks like more streetball/ASG style than an organized pro team .

Westbrook is playing out of position but he's not OKC biggest pb and by far .... Brooks is absolutely clueless and the supporting cast isn't good enough when it matters , especially the Porkins and Ibaka of this world

Even with an entire season passed, I still can't believe the Harden trade. Westbrook already had a lot on his shoulders, and now this team needs even more help.

Sam Presti got hot in the draft for a few years, but then started to think he could pull young players as reliable roster spots. Durant is special. Westbrook and Harden are special. They are young, but you don't get those guys often.

Presti's now struck out horribly and now Durant is in danger of being a KG-in-Minny case. From having the "Western Big 3" to "Durant needs help"... what a narrative.

As a basketball fan I am still pissed.
