Snakell, your alltime list... is it in any order? 1 through 5? If so how could you list Drexler above Magic?... I was just wondering if it was.

What I find even more interesting is that he listed Drexler as PG. Guy never played PG in his life. Same with Wilkins at SG. Its unbelivebale how people dont know positions of some of the all time greats.

My NBA first team would be:

C. Shaq
PF. Garnett
SF. McGrady
SG. Kobe
PG. Kidd

I can understaind someone wanting to have Duncan insted of Garnett in that team, but any other change would be nonsence.

My NBA Current is a little different. I'm basing on the notion that KG can play some small forward as well as at the power spot.

PG: Jason Kidd
SG: Kobe Bryant
SF: Kevin Garnett
PF: Tim Duncan
C: Shaquille Oneal

Just imagine this lineup in the olympics. Too bad Shaq and KG doesn't want to play.

Well, first off, it is good to hear from you again DRAGAN! Long time no see....as far as my supposed lack of knowledge, I was tired that night and forgot to change the top of the post, and if you notice it now points out that (in order to get the most talented players on the list) I changed some of the positions to suit my tastes...I also think it would be a crime to put someone that rivaled MJ for so many years (not better or even equal, but had amazing all around game) as the 3rd best SG in the league ( or at #3 in any postitional list) because that is just something I refused to do...

Tell you what...I will post another rankings list, this time I will adhere to the natural positions of the players...

Me, I am actually doing really well. I have an interesting personal correspondance going on (that I will not refer to right now) right now and I am also getting in to a business that excites me. I am also making some great plans for my future. I look forward to the draft in the next 9 days and to the subsequent free agent courting period. I missed your posting on this board, and did you hear I am planning a TV show called Club Lakers Television within the next 6-8 months or so...

did you just write that MARBURY can carry a team better than KIDD?
Kidd went to the finals 2 times back to back although he was in the east.
Kidd posted the most tripple doubles this year.

Kidd posted 19 points- led the league in assist 8.9 (711 assist)- 5th in steals avg 2.24 a game- rebounds per game 6.5 (504) total and don't forget about his triple doubles. Kidd plays with decent nba players who we would not even know if Kidd was not on their team. Jefferson hello? anyone seen Jefferson... ahhh the old vanishing trick. K-mart solid PF but not an superstar caliber player. Kidd just made everyone better.

Marbury posted 22 points- 4th in assist 8.1 (654 assist)- 36th in steals 1.6 a game- rebounds per game 3.2 (263) total.
marbury had two good games against Parker where he shot 45% or better and that was in game 2 and 3 where they both lost. Marbury plays with veterans in Marion n Penny and a outstanding rookie.

At this point of their careers.. I'd have to say that KIDD is a better point guard than Marbury because of all the other intangibles. Marbury might be a better scorer but Kidd is a way better passer and defender/rebounder and a consumate team player. Its too bad Marbury opted for the cash and left KG in Minny. That was a bad career move on Marbury... just when KG and himself was starting to gel.

yes, i did put marbury. and GARNETT THEN KOBE led the league in triple doubles this year.

btw, both of their teams took san [Swearing is not permitted at Clublakers. You must edit this post prior to submitting.] to game 6
and marbuyr could carry an over all team.

actaully, kidd has less to work with in my opinion then marbury with pheonix, but marbury can give u big buckets when ur offense stales. sometimes kidd can't.

when i put marbury over kidd....i was thinking in the last 3 minutes of hte 4th quarter, because marbury can hurt u more than kidd can in the last 180 seconds.

but hey #1 kobe fan, we both know kobe can take 5 all star's by himself.

Come on. Explane what do you mean.

Well, it is slightly more important to me than my correspondance with y'all if you catch my meaning, and I won't elaborate more than that until later this year... :man12:

getting in to a business that excites me ?
Come on. Spit it out.

I am joining an online business and it is an amazing opportunity. I might be making 60k a year by 4-6 months from now...If y'all want more info I can set up an online meeting about it...

making some great plans for my future ?
You have to give something away. Come on.

The two items above are included in those plans, but there are other things that I am planning that are seperate from those two. I will be writing a whole big article on everything soon enough (a few months) so I hope you can wait and feed off of these snippets until then...

TV show, thats nice. If you nead any tips, let me know.

I will man, I know you already host a TV show, so you can give me pointers...I will be requiring some help from you soon enough,as soon as I get the show up and running, which might take as long as 6-8 months and as short as 2-3...

lack of knowledge

Postby Guest on Thu Jun 19, 2003 8:50 am

Everyone who posted all time list and didn't put Bird in there at Small Forwad got there B-Ball IQ card snatched. I hate Bird like any true Laker fan, but give credit where it's due. You had no problem listing Jordan.

Mark Jackson? top 5? ha ha good one Guess you never heard of Kidd, Tiny, Cheeks, Price, Hardaway, Cousy......

When did Dominique become better then Dr J ? Are you a new fan?

Ever heard of Moses "3 MVPs" Malone at center ? Walton? Reed? Bill "11 rings, 10 fingers" Russell ?

Man-0-man, I sure hope you don't really believe this crap.

Tha JMAN top 5!!! THE REAL DEAL...

Postby SEALCLUBBERS on Thu Jun 19, 2003 3:44 pm

Center:

1. Shaquille O'Neil
2. Ben Wallace
3. Vlade Divac
4. Zydrunas Ilgaskis
5. Brad Miller

Underdog; Yao Ming... Give him another year or two, I bet he'll end up looking like Rik Smits with shot blocking and passing skills. But God is the NBA sad when Ben Wallace is the 2nd best center. Eeeeek...

Power Forward:

1. Tim Duncan
2. Kevin Garnett
3. Dirk Nowitski
4. Chris Webber
5. Jermaine O'Neil

Underdog; Amare Stoudamire. It's simply ridiculous to imagine what he will be in 5-10 years, especially when I remember KG or Kobe at age 19.

Small Forward:

1. Paul Pierce
2. Sean Marion
3. Peja Stojakavic
4. Rashard Lewis
5. Jamal Mashburn

Underdog; Wally Szczerbiak. 50% plus FG% every year? And his defense keeps improving?d:

Shooting Guard:

1. Tracy McGrady
2. Kobe Bryant
3. Allen Iverson
4. Michael Finley
5. Ray Allen

Underdog; Jason Richardson. So he had a softmore slump, its happened to many great players. Give him a couple years, maybe he will be the lucky one who gets traded to a team with hope.

Point Guard:

1. Jason Kidd
2. Baron Davis
3. Gary Payto Another guy who needs an attitude adjustment, but you can't argue with the potential.
