Ads with audio playing automatically

Any way to eliminate these. They've been annoying on CL the last week

they annoy me every once in a whie and I really consider it unacceptable.

you simply can't listen to anything while you are on CL unless you put things on mute.

or get firefox extensions that shut down all flash content.

I don't have a problem with most auto-play audio ads, but this Turkey Island ad is the work of the devil, it is the most annoying thing on the face of the earth, it urges me to kill. Please get rid of this ad, PLEASE, any other ad would be better.

I thought I was the only one getting these but I guess not :mhihi: I always get a background music with no ADS in sight, then when I try to leave the page it doesnt let me causing me to force quit the browser.

Yeah the ads on the site singlehandedly motivated me to finally switch from IE to Firefox. Since the switch a few months ago I have never had a problem with the ads again.

This is why I mute the volume on my PC unless I'm watching a video, listening to a song, or playing a game. Then again, using Firefox with AdBlock Plus doesn't hurt either. :man1:

Online ads are what made me switch from IE to Firefox a few years ago. All I use IE for is Windows Updates. :man10:
