Automatic log-out time?

Automatic log-out time?

Postby leakbrewergator on Mon Jul 12, 2010 2:03 pm

Why did the automatic log-out time after inactivity get so short? I'm usually only on CL at work and I have to step away from my computer a lot and it seems like it logs me out after only a few minutes away? Sometimes if I'm reading a thread that happens to have a lot of good, long posts I have to sign back in just to reply. That seems like too short of a time limit.

Word. I use Mozilla, Safari, Firefox, and IE on different machines...and I've never been logged out for inactivity.

I get automatically logged out after 5 minutes. Really annoying.

If you guys are getting logged out, please let us know what browser you're using and what settings you have specified. Maybe we can help. As none of us are affected, it's difficult to see what the problem might be.

I don't know; do you have it set up to log you in automatically?

That used to happen to me a lot back then when I was running IE. Then I bought my Mac and started using Safari and haven't had a problem since, it could be the IE cookie settings.

I'm not even being inactive and I get logged out just about every time I try to post in a thread. I go to a thread and hit post reply. It takes me to the log-in page. I log-in and it takes me back to the previous page so I can post. I type my reply, hit submit and it forces me back to the log-in page to sign in again. Then when I return to the previous page again, the text field is empty and I have to start over (although now I'm copying and pasting text, but it's such a pain. There's some bad script somewhere. Frustrating.
