Delete Posts?

Are mods not allowed to delete posts? Only lock them?

Why don't you just delete the spamming and not lock it. It's still there so it's not like you really cleaned it out.

We can delete them and we do. Sometimes we will leave one there for reference after we lock it, but most of the time spamming is locked, deleted, and dealt with accordingly.

Why don't you delete the "Die LA Scum"

You think anyone wants to really see that though?

We always review offensive posts together so we can determine if the posting member requires warnings or removal. We like to be democratic about the process and prefer one person doesn't pull the trigger (even myself).

The locking preserves them until I check in and get everyone's input on open mod issues. Preserving the thread is also helpful so I can determine the origin of the poster. Once communication/action has been taken, then I'll delete the thread (well... usually).
