I know there's alot of subs already..

but i think these two deserve their own..

you can just have one for both

they get kinda lost in the OC...

it would be easier to find some archived ones.. and keep track of series and franchises.. and especially trav's thread and J's trailer thread

what say you CL?

Yea, this isn't too bad of an idea. We can use it to reviews movies and stuff like that.

It would also give me a chance to talk about my favorite tv show, "How I Met Your Mother".

Not a bad idea, I know TLN has this and it's pretty cool. I like trodgers giant movie thread, but having a forum to discuss many movies in many threads doesn't sound like a bad idea, same with tv shows.

I have made a thread suggesting a "media" forum like 3 or 4 times here and it's usually been ignored.

We need a forum to discuss movies, TV, videogames, music, and books. They don't have to be seperate just make it one forum called media. Look at all the threads in offtopic that are "media" threads. A lot. Adding that forum organizes things. RealGM does it this way and it works out great.

Well pre the new php, sub-forums weren't an option. And it would add to an already extensive forum list.

After the upgrade, I forgot about it. You guys reminded me, seems you all still wanted it. So there it is.

I was gonna suggest if it was movies and tv, why not throw in music and games too, but I wasn't sure if that was too much. I guess not, looks good.

Guys, ya know I respect you all but I don't like this idea. You all site that you think these threads get lost. I think they will be even more lost now. It will requite another extra click, and people won't see the subforum.

but can we split video games and music.. it looks a tad cluttered?

Nah I think it's a fair compromise between those who want it and those who don't. It won't get too crowded. Not until we get more posters that is.

also shane.. check it out...

when on ht emain forums page... under open court.. theres a little link that says subforum: mediacenter... so it doesnt HAVE TO BE an extra click..

We'll see how this works. Should be less cluttered than OC was in relation to these topics and should certainly be easier to find certain threads since the search function isn't exactly working. I went through the first 50 pages moving threads tonight. I'll probably do more over the next couple days.

Is it just me or is the media forum kinda dead? I don't know maybe it's because all the forums are kinda dead right now as people are probably on vacation and stuff, but it seems like people either don't know about it, or media topics just never got as much attention as I thought.

i think its the former..

also the locationof the sub forum is kinda hidden..(idk if it's possible but if the whole sub forum could be moved underneath all the announcement that should work alot of people just skip those) but i think it works...

i like it... and most of the regulars.. i see have no trouble finding it... i think it's just slowin general.. even the LD board is slow
