after 6 week of really intense discussions and countless votings we are finally able to reveal the new Staff.
First of all let me thank all the following members:
KB24Gold, Danny Ainge, Realm of Shadows, Podium, Massacre, JSJ Lakerman, The Zen, Rydjorker, L4L, bhatta, crucifido and Phil...
all of these guys have been superb contributers to the site and embodied the clublakers philosophy in every sense. They will remain highly regarded members here and deserve everyone's respect.
But its time for a new generation and I decided that we need a complete overhaul. I have set the bar quite high with "we want to offer the best platform for the Laker fans and we want to be the #1 Laker source on the web, no ifs or buts". To be able to accomplish that, we need to break down our ultimate objective and define our subgoals without losing sight of the big picture.
Our subgoals, regarding the staff members, are first and foremost leniency, humility, patience, openness toward different opinions yet at the same time straight and consistent decisions. Knowledge, etc. are a distant second.
We had a list of 20 potential candidates.
The result of 7 staff votes along with almost 20 votes from all the potential candidates were consistent and well balanced. Did we intend to let the staff have a bigger influence than the members? yes, originally we did but the end result didn't really need us to overrule the veteran members and we were in accordance with the choices being made.
I'm very proud to let everybody know that these guys will be handed the responsbility to chase our goal on CL. While I didn't vote the moderators myself, I have full trust that they are well suited to "execute our gameplan". Every single one of them was surprised to even be considered as a "candidate" which further confirms our impression of the right humble attitude that we are looking for.
Congratulations to

1. the chosen one's recieved the most votes, rightfully so.
2. we have experienced that members sometimes turn on strong personalities. Not only on this forum but on a lot of forums. JD from Lakerground comes to my mind. Our own GuRu comes to my mind, even JSM has experienced some resistence over time here. For what we are tying to accomplish and the type of policy that we pursue, these guys are a match made in heaven.
Please welcome them with open arms and give them a chance to prove you what we think they are capable of.
Last question....are we done yet? no we aren't. The new Clublakers staff will have 30+ members, the rest will have different tasks though. Over time I'll fill the vacancies with the help of the staff.
As you can see, I will do my best to bring some transparency to CL, explaining where we are coming from and how the decision process works with this staff.
Thanks everyone, looking forward to the new staff
