new forum

i was just wondering, shouldn't we have an EVENTS forum.. for like all the NBA and lakers events... like: opportunities to meet players..

No. This forum would be meaningles seeing as we post events on the main page for the site + the Lakers Discussion forum.

However, if enough interest is shown, I've always felt we should add a "Sports" forum for every sport outside of basketball.

In the past we have had events (player appearances, tv shows, etc) on the main page, and I think way way back we had an events forum. It just didn't get populated enough.

I'm working on some site modifications -- I'll try to add an events table that a staff member can populate via a back-end interface.
