No Reply or Quote buttons when logged out

Am I the only one that finds it annoying, that when I come to the forum to post, there are no reply or quote buttons there? They used to be there.

So, if I want to quote or reply a post, for some reason, the steps I have to go through are annoying.

- Enter an interesting thread
- Find a post to quote
- Click "login"
- Then I have no other choice other than to "Return to the Index Page"
- Choose the forum I want to post in again
- Find the thread I read before
- Find the post I want to quote, then quote.

My only other option to avoid this, is to login, then click back twice and reload the page.

Why not just have Quote/Reply buttons even if you're logged out, so that if I click them it prompts me to login which, after I've done that takes me to where I'm supposed to go?

I guess I haven't noticed it because I'm always logged in. And when I'm not, I log in first then when I come to CL, I never look around without being logged in, in case I want to post something while looking around and so I can see what topics have new replies.

I'm usually logged in too. Not too big of a deal I don't think.

Bothers me at times, particularly when I'm on my iPhone which occasionally logs me out.

I've just decided against posting/quoting at times because it would be more time consuming and inconvienent

Yeah I'm in exactly the same situation as Blake. When I'm on my iPhone I don't want to sign in initially because I don't know if I want to make a post but if I do then I have to go through those steps and it's annoying. If it's an easy fix please do it but if it's really complicated you guys don't have to.

I agree with knm. I brought this up before but idk if anyone heard. Could staff please add buttons when logged out?
