Do the forums really have to crash every season?

Do the forums really have to crash every season?

I know it's expensive for hosting/server costs for a site like this and the masses of Lakers fans that bombard it. But every year in big regular season games any basically all the playoff/finals games it's offline.

Isn't there some option to switch to load balancing hosting or something.. nearly every data center offers it. Just curious.. not trolling just sucks the forum fails when the season finally gets intense.

In addition to last year's Finals, the site crashed for me towards the end of the games in Portland (an OT thriller the Lakers won) and Miami (we all know what happened). I've learned to accept it, but I do wonder if anything can be done about it. At least the mods do a great job. :jam2:
Thanks for the sig, Jr. Kobe.
