why doesn't CL switch to NextBBS

I was looking through this wiki page

And comparing different softwares and it seems like Next BBS has all the features and it's free. And it's coded in PHP just like this forum.

Maybe CL should consider it? I remember someone saying that we want to switch to somethine better but it would cost to too much to license.

It's a better board, overall, but I'm sure phpBB has better support, many more modifications, and takes less bandwidth to host, which is actually a huge issue.

and phpBB has a new board in beta and once it is released as a full version we should expect to upgrade.

I don't know what they use but dslreports.com have by far, the best forum system on the internet.
