6 player blockbuster deal in which Lakers trade Lamar, Bynum, Sasha, Kwame, Cook, and a 1st round draft pick for Jermaine O'Neal, Jamaal Tinsley, and Ron Artest.

i cant find anything on indianapolis stars website that supports this theory....where did klac get this???
i actually like this if we get artest, but that leaves us short at pf

I hope that Indy deal doesn´t happen.

I would prefer to keep Kwame instead of Tinsley...both fill a need BUT Kwame expires after one year and its harder to find a C than to find a PG with the MLE.

Why would that trade allow the Lakers to package Cook and their number 1 pick for Artest? I mean why cant they do that without the trade going down.

Artest is available now and Artest has little trade value right now.

ok so lets say perhaps that they make this trade. bynum, odom, kwame, sasha for JO and tinsley.

that leaves us with:

tinsley/farmar
kobe/mo evans
luke/radman
???/turiaf
JO/?Mihm

the only problem is we dont have a pf. unless they would throw in Ike Diogu
i dont think that cook and the 19th pick will get us artest. i think we should look at some of the following free agents.

1. Sasha Pavlovic - decent defense, could be a pretty good 3rd scoring option
2. Jason Kapono- shooter(we need one) + probably wouldnt mind coming back to LA
3. James Posey - good defender who can shoot 3s
4. Danny Fortson - decent defender who can bring some intensity and scrap for rebounds.

sounds to me like the same hacksaw rumor in the other thread. and it's not brian cook + #19 for artest. salaries dont match. so it's not a 6 player blockbuster because you need contract fillers.

JO's a PF. Mihm would be the center.

I don't believe it until I see it on ESPN or another credible website.

Although that would be a sweet deal for the Lakers. I do that deal just because we get rid of Sasha and Brian Cook.

I'll say it once and I'll say it again. Odom and Bynum is WAY to much for JO. And why would we want Tinsley on this team with Artest???? If this goes down, expect a very dramatic season full of egos.

Dont believe anything Hacksaw says. He is an idiot and does not know what the hell he is talking about. All his deals that he mentions can not happen because of salary cap issues. He thinks that players make more or less than they actually do.

If that's true we're basically trading our whole team lol. I'd love for Artest to be here but I don't klnow about JO. But hell, I'd take it. It's probably our best chance anyway.

If we could pick up someone from the FA our team would be stellar though.
