i dont know man the offer for Bender isnt that convinving but if it does go down then we automatically have a Champinship contender that is with an AWESOME PG a point guard is very necessary its like a basketballs teams QB!!!

Championship contender? Even with that trade it would only move the Lakers up to 3rd or 4th in the West.

If the Indy trade happens. Both NO trades too then look out for CONTENDERS. BTW being 3rd or 4th in west put you into contention AUTOMATICALLY.

Doesn't Magloire have a pretty hefty contract also? He WOULD be the low post presence that we were looking for. PJ Brown would be a perfect fit for the triangle, he is getting up there in age, but he plays defense and hustles. I think that trade would be a steal. Deron Williams would be the best fit for the triangle at the point, Chris Paul is a penetrator, and Jarret Jack is turnover prone and slashes also. Deron Williams got Luther Head and Dee Brown the ball in good spots last year and can spot up as well, which is perfect for the triangle.

i would absolutly love to see magloir and brown in LA they would be perfect for us, they would imediatly turn us into division champ contenders.

Hate to rain on everyone's parade, but that Hornets trade is not happening. New Orleans does NOT want to trade PJ Brown - everyone just assume they did - but they love this guy and will keep him around. 2ndly, while the Lakers did engage in those discussions, it was always the least likely of all fires in the burners to go down. NO can get much more for Magloire and the 4th pick than Caron, the 10th and some scrubs.

Likely, we'll make moves that aren't tremendously flashy, but will give us some muscle inside. Think more along the lines of what Seattle did. They didn't make earth shattering moves, they just added some big physical guys and combined them with the talent they already had. That's what the Lakers will do.

We need to stop having visions of grandeur by expecting we'll get a big name big man for our left-overs and 1 good piece. We all know it's hard for teams to let go of still young former all-star big men, let alone for a small and some scrubs (even a small as talented as Caron), and including their throwing in the 4th pick in the draft, as well. That's just wishful thinking.
