Deng is giving the Bulls an ultimatum and this is a likely time to trade him rather than let him walk.

I like LO and think we should keep him regardless, but the idea of a

Lakers trade - LO/Fisher/Vlad/Mihm

Bulls trade - Deng/Hinrich/Tyrun Thomas

-Bulls have Gooden, Noah, and Noc who can play PF and TT has been on the outs with them.
-Hinrich is good as gone with the Rose draft and logjam at guard
-Deng negotiations are going terrible and they may lose him
-LO and Vlad would give them needed size
-Fish is veteran leader they need

Lakers lineup

Hinrich/Farmar
Kobe/Sasha
Deng/Ariza
Pau/Tyrus Thomas
Bynum/Kwame(resign)

Bulls lineup
Fisher/Rose
Hughes/Sefalosha
Nocioni/Vlad
LO/Gooden
Noah/Mihm

Bulls won't be able to move Hughes but they can get something for Gordon

Not as unreasonable as some will say and I think it'd go a long way to solidify our team

Prefer to just resign Odom for 8-9 mill next year above all else though

firsthly, the lakers aren't going to trade fisher.
trust me, they won't.

secondly, they wouldn't trade that package for kobe, why would they trade that for LO and vlad.

Deng is the only player on that list that is key to Chicago. TT got in numerous issues last year, got consistenly benched, and had his work ethic questioned. Hinrich is expendable for sure and there's an obvious need to move him.

Fisher may not be moved, true. But I'd prefer to hold on to Farmar and two young PG's doesn't make much sense for Chicago. Solid veteran leadership would go a long way. Chicago would be picking up a lot of size too.

But, if no deal than maybe

LO/Mihm

For Deng/TT

gives us

Deng/Ariza
Pau/TT/Vlad
Bynum/Kwame

Love to hear some different ideas on getting Deng.

-Hinrich is getting shopped and was being benched last year
-Deng is unhappy and will walk next season
-TT is on their bad side and getting buried on the bench

I think that for the right offer they all could possible go. Chicago needs size and outside shooting. Mihm and Odom are size, Vlad can shoot.

Thats a little unfair. Odom as our third option was a good player.

But its Odom and his expiring contract for Deng.

Now the Bulls could get nothing or they could get something. True they have some time but if things dont get worked out then they are better off getting something.

I remind you of Kwame Brown if you dont understand how important expiring contracts are in this league, If we could get Gasol for Kwame we could get Deng and filler for Odom.

I think we are going to let Odom walk, this year.

A core of Kobe, Gasol, Bynum is already a fantasy.

That 14.5 Million expiring contract is important in keeping that fantasy alive.

Slide Ariza to the start SF by next year and sign a backup forward for cheap and we are still a contender.

Gotta love Odom, but he's still in his prime and would probably command a lot of money next year. I don't think we can afford to keep him.

A starting lineup of Hinrich, Deng, Drew, Kobe, and Gasol would a crazy amount of money when you are still paying stiffs like Luke and Vlad big money.

If he's a restricted Free Agent, we should just make him an offer, and see if Chicago will match. I wouldn't give them anymore than Luke, and he and VLAD are about the only players I would trade him for, maybe not even Vlad because he's a better shooter, but IMO Deng is somewhat over-rated.

What happened to him last year, and he was playing in a contract year? I don't blame Chicago for offering him less, and not giving him a max contract. IMO he's just a glorified blue-collar guy, not an All-Star caliber type player, he would be good on our team. Look at it, His stats aren't that much better than Drew Goodens! He averaged 4 more points, and 4 more minutes, but Drew was a better rebounder, and defender.

If we are going to go after someone from Chicago it should be Gordon & Drew!
I'm not trading LO for this cat no matter what? Luke & Vlad for Deng!!!

you made no sense to be honest...for Luke and Vlad you will not even get a kick in the butt, let alone Deng.

And we can't offer Deng anything...he won't sign for MLE and then let Chicago match it. It makes no sense whatsoever...either we have to S&T for him or we have no chance to get him.

odom is only worth marion in a trade not deng or artest. so unless we deal with miami we will stand pat and wait till next year to use odoms contract of 14 mill to use on someone else or what ever we choose so for now unless kings want crap for artest no deal the dummy should have oppted out what a mentle case. and for marion lets wait n see. i like to get crawford from ny good pg for the triangle
