DO IT MITCH!!!

http://www.hoopsworld.com/Story.asp?story_id=9603

This can't help but make one wonder who exactly the teams are that Sekou Smith was referring to. Could the LA Lakers be the "Western Conference powerhouse" poised to make a play for Smith?

PLEASE!

Love the trade idea Josh Smith is a beast!!! I don't like claxton or his contract. I say we make the trade if they give us Zaza instead and we include Mihm. That would be an amazing line-up. I think Josh Smith is about to have a hell of a season, and he and Bynum would be the future. Plus simth can play the PF too, so we he can get plenty of mintues backing up Gasol as well. Damn Smith would shut down Pierce in a second. 1.5 steals and 2.5 blocks a game thats ridiculous omg we would have two elite shot blockers in Bynum and Smith WOW. Plus his offense if rock solid and he can always develop hes only 23 years old. Plus we have enough scorers between Bynum, KOBE, and Gasol. We need defense!!!!

This would be best case scenario for the Lakers this offseason. Josh Smith is one of my favorite players in the league because he reminds me of one of my other favorite players in the league, Kenyon Martin. If Mitch could pull this off we get a defensive presence at SF who is a better slasher than Odom, and an improving jumpshooter all wrapped up in an athletic freak of a young player.

Fisher/Kobe/Smith/Pau/Bynum, with a Farmar/Sasha/Ariza/Smith/Bynum future? Yes, please.
Strength does not come from physical capacity. It comes from an indomitable will.

I'd do Odom for Smith in a heartbeat. He's young, he's athletic, he plays D, he's a stud and we'd have him for years.

hypothetically speaking, if we do end up picking up josh smith does that mean he would play the SF position?

Fisher
Kobe
J-Smoove
Gasol
Bynum

jeez, lwith that lineup the lakers would average like 7-9 blks a game :man13:

J-Smoove's jumper is nothing special but dude is only 23, he can improve (and has since he came into the league). Execellent defender and a tremendous athlete. I'd do it in a heartbeat. And we'd have a nice highlight reel core of Farmar+Smith+Ariza+Bynum for the future

LO, Mihm, Char 2nd rnd pick

FOR

S&T Smith, Claxton

His D makes up for that. Plus he's only 23. P.P. wouldn't be able to abuse Josh smith like he did Odom and the Lakers.

like some people mentioned, smith doesn't have a jumper, so i don't know if this makes us better offensively. but defensively, we should get better. also he's younger, and a smith+bynum future would be great for us, i would do this trade.

non existent??? i mean as far as a remember he is a defensive monster and was a player considered for defensive player of the year. he is 23. and he has time to develop his jumper. if people think lamar can improve his at his age smith at 23 can continue to improve.
