NBA RUMOR MILL - What We’re Hearing Pt. 2...

To let everyone know whats going on:

With less than 4 days to the NBA draft, the rumors have not slowed down at all… In fact there is more activity brewing today than yesterday. Here are the details:

NO LAKERS DEALS YET: Despite several erroneous reports, and nasty miscue by the World Wide Leader In Shorts, The LA Lakers have not consummated any deals or transactions. It’s believed that the Lakers will make a deal or two on draft night as they try to shed a player or two (Devean George, Chucky Atkins and Brian Cook) to either gain better draft placement (the #3 from Portland and the #5 from New Orleans) or improved players. Charlotte surfaced yesterday, in part due to ESPN listing a bogus swap in their NBA Draft section, which has been changed and brought the ire of the Lakers and the Bobcats. Talks have been ongoing with Mitch Kupchak and basically anyone in the top 6 selections. Mitch Kupchak also recently shot down Kobe Bryant trade rumors saying in his mind Kobe is a Laker now, and will retire a Laker. According to well placed league sources, the only players untouchable in LA are Kobe Bryant and Lamar Odom.

ESPN is full of it dawg espn are a bucnh of BITC#&$!! Theyrs a bunch of LAKER haters!!They dont know crap!! I seriously think that their has been transactions!! In Realgm i think they say that the Lakers got the deal for the 3rd pick and Patterson for theyre not sure yet!!!

Why would the ESPN mistake, "draw the ire" of the Lakers and Bobcats?

If it's a mistake, all ESPN has to do is change it (which they did)?

Seems more likely that something was going on (especially considering the pick on the Warriors' site - which has also been fixed).

The only thing I´m happy about is that Odom and Kobe untouchable part.
At least I don´t have to worry a J-Kidd rumor or something.

I know about your LOVE for Odom Wing. Didn´t I tell you we are going to go face-to-face again sooner than later

I don't get the lovefest with Odom. If I could get a PF like Boozer or a Center Ilgauskas I would do it in a second. I think if the Lakers can get a big man. I would build around Kobe and Butler. They work better together than Odom and Kobe. Why trade Butler?

What you say doesn´t make ANY sense. We need defense, we need intelligent lang defenders and we need good passing forwards.
While Butler is UNDERSIZED, can´t play a LICK OF DEFENSE, has average handling and passing skills and no court vision, Odom has GREAT size, GREAT passing and court vision, DECENT D, GREAT rebounding and so on.
Biuld around Kobe and Butler? You must be out of your mind bro.
Phil knows what Odom can and you can be sure the Lakers have a reason to trade Butler or do you know things better?

No he didn´t. He didn´t even mention Caron more than once in his press conference. He knows Caron is gone. He just asked Caron to improve his handles and wheather he likes to bring the ball up. NOTHING more and this questions were ONLY made to make sure he works on his weaknesses IF UNFORTUNETLY the trades don´t happen.
