Rumor: Bobcats in serious trade talks with Lakers

Postby LakersN4 on Sun Jun 22, 2008 10:44 pm

I'm really not sure on this.

Is he just another good player on a bad team?

I mean I know he plays hard but I'm just not sure if we can expect him to match LO's production once he has players around him that are better than him.

LO showed us this year that he really steps his game up when the defensive attention isn't on him.. I'd like to wait until the deadline unless we're getting a proven star who has put up numbers with good players on his team, like RJ

It's interesting but Wallace defintely has a bad injury track record. Would the Bobcats be willing to move their lottery pick as well? I mean if yare and we could somehow nab it we could draft a PG or best available and dangle it as trade bait

His contract only means we have him for the duration of the dynasty.

that is pretty important

our age for our starting line-up would be

20
27
25
29
32

thats really young

at the start of the season its

21
27
26
30
32

still very young

besides we know kobe will play at a top 5 SG level till hes 38 we all can feel that happening

Are we somehow interested in Hibbert? Maybe the package includes the 9th pick (or is it 8th?) with G-Wall.

Per the Charlotte Observer, the Bobcats are trying to acquire a second first round pick somewhere in the 20s, presumably to get Hibbert.

I can't figure out how Hibbert working out for the Bobcats relates to this rumor. Help?

well almost everyone seems to think that guy was insane, and it said it would probably take half of their team to get him. i think one guy said a package of Wallace, felton, carroll and the pick as starters for him. they seemed to know his value for the most part.

yes because we should trade the 2nd best young center in the game for a complete unknown rookie and a average player good shooter

and by the way the only pure center not named tim duncan or yao ming

no way. always injured; it's a direct result of the way he plays so there is no way to avoid the injuries

i hope they don't trade for him.

Ya, I'd rather have Smush "Ironman" Parker who never missed a game in his 2 years here.

um is it bad that charlotte bobcats boards aren't even mentioning this

does that mean they haven't heard anything

well the memphis fans knew nothing of the gasol trade so i guess it means nothing

He's a good slasher, but so is Ariza.

He's a good defender, but so is Ariza.

He's not a good shooter, but neither is Ariza.

What's the missing piece there?

If we can convince them to give us the #9 for taking on that contract with the health problems, Mitch needs his own statue. I don't think that's going to happen.

Imagining Westbrook on this team is incredible to me, so I think I should stop hitting the pipe on this one.

I like Gerald's game, but I'm insanely concerned about the health issue. If he goes down, we have to depend on either Kobe running the 3 with Sasha at the two, or giving Ariza/Vlad/Walton big minutes. It's a gamble.

I kind of feel the same way. He's what Ariza could be, but that still doesn't give us what we need. We need a player who won't let pressure get to him, someone who can hit the big shot, and someone who can lock down people when it truly matters. A leader couldn't hurt either.

When you hear those requirements, does Gerald Wallace even come to mind? Honestly, he doesn't for me.

not really

we went the whole year with vlad at SF

with gasol, kobe, lamar

kobe, bynum, gasol>>>>>>kobe, gasol, lamar

also lamar is just as injury prone but we know there are a lot of questions with him moving to SF

with gerald wallace we know he is reckless but maybe we need that

i mean if hes healthy we are that much better offensively and defensively

what your missing is he is a further developed ariza

he shoots 32% from 3 but the thing is unlike lamar hes increased and improved his percentage more and more each year

hes also got a great work ethic which is shown by his improvement in almost every category yearly

he also plays defense 4 games a year against both lebron and paul pierce so he has experience in that category

lastly he plays with complete reckless abandon besides kobe we really dont have that

wallace is the only one they are looking into

otherwise they will keep odom

there must be a reason he is catching their eye

not to shoot where there are no birds but

gerald wallace is number 3

ariza is number 3

ariza decides to change back to number 1

i know irrelevant but i like to get people riled up occasionally

worried about the concussion history, but we're looking to win now. and he brings wat this team lacks, hustle and aggressive mad D. His offense would be a bonus and craig hodges can help his shot :jam2:

yeah why put one of the best lyracists of all time whose flow never hiccups

you wouldn't want your video to roll smoothly with the music doing the same

i thought pac was an excellent choice

the epic music thing doesn't work for me

i want game, pac, nas, jay-z, kanye, jadakiss, kurupt, ice cube

those are my choices for highlight videos
