RUMOR: Odom and Kwame for KG on ESPN radio

RUMOR: Odom and Kwame for KG on ESPN radio

Postby Cruiser on Fri Nov 03, 2006 2:21 am

Take this as you will, but apparently, Dan Patrick mentioned this on his radio show earlier today. In addition, the theory is that Kobe is sitting out not only because of his knee, but to show Minnesota that Lamar can lead a team.

Yea right. I dont even want KG anymore. He can take a HUGE paycut and sign with us in '09 (i think) if he want a championship.

Go Lamar!

That's a cold blooded conspiracy right there if it were true.

But it's not true, so let's just move on.

as long as phil/kobe can convince odom to keep playing with this sort of aggressiveness once bryant returns, then i'd rather have odom & brown.

Will Kobe allow Odom to be this aggresive with the ball is the question.

Lamar initiates the offense. He has the ball in his hands plenty. Is Kobe supposed to hold his right hand all the way to the basket? Lamar is a man and its up to him to be aggressive and do his job.

And would he allow KG to be any more agressive? This thread is silly....

We lose Odom who gives us 16 10 and 7 a night (maybe more) for KG who gives us 22 10 and 4 a night (maybe less on this team) as well as Kwame?

Stop it, seriously, does no one put their thinking cap on nowadays?

Awfully reminiscent of the Kwame Brown case during the Playoffs.
Pau Gasol yesterday morning when asked about Dwight Howard: "I haven't called. Calls are expensive."

I'm not so sure anymore Realm. If Odom elevates his play to the level he's playing at I'd rather keep him than take KG. Besides, team chemistry hasn't been this good since Magic was playing.

It's not even close. Some people are forgetting what an 82 game season is.

LO gave you 2 good games.

KG will give you 82.

BIG difference.

Imagine this

Bynum/Mihm
KG/Cook/Turiaf
Vlad/Evans
Kobe/Sasha
Smush/Farmar/S Will

That starting 5 is just down right scary (with the exception of Smush).

But, reality is, this is PROBABLY just BS...forget about it. If it happens, good. If it doesn't, oh well.

couldnt have said it better myself....even if we gave up lamar and kwame, this team is STILL deep....Kobe and KG on the same team? with that kinda depth? yea, damn right thats scary...but im getting ahead of myself...if we get KG, great, if not, im content with lamar and kwame

Odom/Kwame and KG? You do that trade in a split second. Lakers going to finals if that comes true.

That's the same trade that was rumored (and confirmed by one of the Wolves insiders who had never been wrong in any other instance other than that one) before last season. Given the improved play of Kwame and Lamar I wouldn't be suprised if it merited a new look. More likely than not it's just a rumor... that having been said...

I love Lamar, and I like Kwame... But if you can trade those two for Garnett... you do it. Garnett > Odom, though yes he is 3 1/2 years older... Bynum's play, combined with the fact that both Mihm and Kwame are coming back, makes one of those two expendable.

It won't happen, but people who are saying no thank you, are crazy.
