Scrub? I don't know. 19/11 and 4 blocks on 58% shooting in his final season. He was definitely an active guy who worked very hard...and was very effective.

His numbers as a starter in the NBA aren't even bad. 8 & 8 on 51% shooting.

yeah, beats the hell out of may. i think people just expected too much from williams based on his draft position, etc. i think there's a place for him on an nba bench. he's probably better than benga and powell already.

i would endorse picking him up, but not as a "lamar replacement".

The only thing impressive about Sheldon Williams is Candice Parker...she got a better chance of making the Laker Roster than he do...

hey none of that logic and stat stuff in here, just knee jerk reactions...

Williams has a decent back to the basket game on the low block. Anything farther than five feet for him is an adventure. Defensively, he is above averarge. I'd rather give Powell more minutes who is more mobile, can hit the perimeter J off pick and pops plus is a very good rebounder.

Lakers have enough bigs. Sorry, Shelden. I know you wanna be in LA with Candace. Try calling the Clippers.

Watched him play for Sacto and he was very soft. Got pushed around by smaller players. Powell is better right now.
Ike Diogu is still out there if Odumb doesn't come around. He put up some impressive #s the last two games of the year(28-12, 30-11) for Sacto when they finally let him on the court.
