Odom+Walton+ for Marion+Banks would be a great deal in my book any day of the week.
The fact that Riles didn't trade Marion for Brand should tell you that they aren't looking to trade Marion.Jajwa wrote:BB wrote:Why would they do that? Read what I said again. It's the opposite.
Here is a 3 way trade since Wade said he would like Odom to come back.
LA sends Lamar Odom and Chris Mihm to Heat
Heat sends Shawn Marion to Sacramento
Sacramento sends Ron Artest, Kenny Thomas and Shelden Williams to LA
Works for all 3 teams.

So we get an overweight/aging PF that couldn't crack the rotation on a TERRIBLE SAC team in Kenny Thomas and we get a PF mindset in a SF's body in Shelden Williams and we lose a major cog to our team to replace him with a guy that may or may not go nuts at some point during the season. Sounds like a terrible deal.

SignPippenNow wrote:The trade works money wise. Yeah Matty LA would be losing two studs in Mihm and Odom but something tells me I would make that deal. Funny you pick apart that trade considering I would give Mihm and Odom for Artest by himself if money matched. Artest might blow up but at least he wouldn't disappear when needed the most. Thomas would give as much as Turiaf did and Williams is a solid role player. It isn't his fault he was drafted too high.
Nice find! I hadn't seen this. Thanks for posting it.sleepin4matty wrote:THIS explains my feelings on the trade pretty well.
