Odom+Walton+ for Marion+Banks would be a great deal in my book any day of the week.
Why would they do that? They can let Marion go and have his contract off the books so they'd take Odom if they want him as a player, not for his contract.

The fact that Riles didn't trade Marion for Brand should tell you that they aren't looking to trade Marion.

Here is a 3 way trade since Wade said he would like Odom to come back.
LA sends Lamar Odom and Chris Mihm to Heat
Heat sends Shawn Marion to Sacramento
Sacramento sends Ron Artest, Kenny Thomas and Shelden Williams to LA
Works for all 3 teams.

So we get an overweight/aging PF that couldn't crack the rotation on a TERRIBLE SAC team in Kenny Thomas and we get a PF mindset in a SF's body in Shelden Williams and we lose a major cog to our team to replace him with a guy that may or may not go nuts at some point during the season. Sounds like a terrible deal.

More like the Clippers lost Brand before they could perform a S and T.

The trade works money wise. Yeah Matty LA would be losing two studs in Mihm and Odom but something tells me I would make that deal. Funny you pick apart that trade considering I would give Mihm and Odom for Artest by himself if money matched. Artest might blow up but at least he wouldn't disappear when needed the most. Thomas would give as much as Turiaf did and Williams is a solid role player. It isn't his fault he was drafted too high.

Not so sure about that. Williams is alright but Kenny Thomas would not bring as much as Turiaf does. What Turiaf lacks on offense he can makes up for with his hard-nosed defense. Kenny Thomas is the same player as Shelden Williams. Both are PF's in SF's bodies. We complained about Turiaf having problems playing C and LO playing SF. How are these two guys going to be any different?

I don't want Kenny Thomas at C I want him as backup PF. I think JSM had a very interesting comparison between Thomas and Turiaf on another thread. Shelden can play both PF and some center (remember Odom even played some C a few times). Artest is the key not those other 2. Give me Fisher, Kobe, Artest, Pau and Bynum and I say bring on Boston. Artest is much much better than Odom. I don't trust Odom any longer and sorry if that offends you

It wasn't long ago when Marion demanded a trade to the Lakers, so hopefully they'll make it happen.

I just don't see why MIA wants LO when they just drafted Beasley and they still have Haslem. LO is most effective at the PF spot and Beasley isn't nearly as mobile as LO so why play him at the SF? I just don't see it from MIA's perspective.
