DJ Strawberry is just as intriguing to me.

Same here. I think Green is still riding the hype machine from when he first came into the league and drew comparisons to T-Mac. He has potential, but I've yet to see him do anything with it or improve any one aspect of his game. Worth a summer league spot, sure. An actual roster spot, doubtful.

Strawberry has a more favorable build working for him. He's a better defender. And he's played some point.

Low risk, potentially high reward. Hopefully we get lucky, I certainly am rooting for Green to make the club.

ehh it's not like we pay the summer league players. If he becomes good then we sign him if he doesn't we waive nothing wrong with having him on our summer league.

Both were raw and had potential.

Obviously Bynum worked to fullfill his while Green hasn't.

^ This.

I see NOTHING of worth from Gerald Green -- his bball IQ and instincts are just as low as they were a few years ago. Sure, he can still jump, but his decision making is terrible. I wish they would have brought someone else in.

Oh, and Frank Robinson's a little surprising too. Not quick enough, though.

GG will never be more than he was coming into the league - a leaper with no basketball IQ whatsoever. Why do you think he hasn't stuck anywhere? A big laugh is when people used to say he needed a college experience to help him understand the game better - there isn't a college in the world that would have accepted him, even some juco in desperate need of bodies. He's never been more than a highlight waiting to happen, and I mean waiting because he could never get into the flow of a game; he didn't understand what everyone else was running around for and why they didn't just give him the ball and let him either dunk or take a 3. He's a true idiot savant - no mind for anything and has to rely one his body doing things without much forethought. I hope he stays with the Lakers, because Laker fans deserve a highlight from someone other than you-know-who every once in a while (during garbage time, of course).
