Just read it here. Interesting..the guy is super athletic and talented but a bit redundant with Ebanks? I like Ebanks a bit more..

You don't waive people on Summer League team. They play five games and then you invite them to camp or not.

I think this guy has the athletic ability to be a nice project player prospect for us. If we lose Shannon and Farmar, we will need more guys with that kind of speed. Low risk, high reward by putting him in our summer league.
Derek Fisher is the heart and soul of this team- Kobe(Black Mamba)
When we win it, it's going to taste much sweeter knowing I played with the injury- Andrew(Lionheart)
Tomorrow is another opportunity to accomplish great things- Pau(Pauwer)
Ron Artest is the Game 7 MVP- Phil(Zen Master)
Q:Pierce says series isn't coming back to LA? A: [Mean Stare]- Derek(President)
If we don't win the championship, it's my fault- Ron(Tru Warier)

He's all potential... potential that he'll never meet. I don't see him making this roster.

Gerald Green is an excellent pickup for Summer League. I dont understand why some here appear to want him to fail. If he succeeds, it is good for us. THe fact of the matter is Gerald Green has more potential than 90% of the players in the NBA. He has all star talent. If he could be with the Lakers and realize that talent, we will have won again.

Would have been pretty good had he spent 2-3 years in college. Once his so called "potential" runs out he'll be playing overseas.

But in all seriousness he is not the next t-mac but giving him a shot is good, he would be a cheap athletic option. And if shannon is demanding big money green would be a great option to look at for the athleticism department.

He would be a great replacement for Shannon Brown.

THis is not true. I think you are repeating talking points instead of judging this guy on what you have actually seen.

Check out his career stats. For a young player, his three point percentages over different years has been good. He shot 39% and 37% in two different years.

Look, whats the point in rooting against this guy. All good athletes have the ability to play good defense. THis kids athletic ability is second to none. He could probably be a great offensive player with some guidance and stability.

Give the guy a shot and hope for the bese, it will only help this team.

All he can do is dunk and he will be waived. That is crap I have read on here lately about Green. Some of you need to get a clue before you type.

Thank you. It is a summer team, why the negative stuff? If you don't have a clue, then just read. The summer league is full of guys who won't play in NBA at star level, but for summer league this was a great pickup for LA.

If he made the cut, wait and see. He could be worth of a roster spot.

If Phil, the Tri, Lakers and playing with Kobe/Pau made Shannon Brown a player worth of MLE like it seems he will get, what can Phil do with someone like Green ?

He had "played" in Europe after fail in the NBA. If he had half a brain he could surprise some people. Redemption is a good thing to build on. Ask Ron.
