Bummer. I thought he might have had a chance to make it here. Too bad. Wonder why?

Why?
Derek Fisher is the heart and soul of this team- Kobe(Black Mamba)
When we win it, it's going to taste much sweeter knowing I played with the injury- Andrew(Lionheart)
Tomorrow is another opportunity to accomplish great things- Pau(Pauwer)
Ron Artest is the Game 7 MVP- Phil(Zen Master)
Q:Pierce says series isn't coming back to LA? A: [Mean Stare]- Derek(President)
If we don't win the championship, it's my fault- Ron(Tru Warier)

What the Heck? He would have been a great addition. I'm so dissapointed in hearing this news right now. I thought with Farmar leaving, we have Javaris as our backup. I am just so floored right now with dissapointment. :man2:

EricPincus: spoke to Javaris' agent briefly - no plans to play on any summer squad - talking to a number of teams - nothing new right now 11 minutes ago via TweetDeck

Ok good. Hopefully we'll still give him a look.

Big mistake by Critt not to get on a summer roster. Sometimes I really wonder about the advice some of these agents give to their clients.

Critt needs to showcase himself any way he can and show that he's serious about a comeback. He's not Arenas who's going to still get paid and get more chances simply due to reputation.

^ We might be better off that route though. We know what he brings to the table. If other teams are interested in him too, we have less competition for his services by him skipping summer league and not showing what he can do. Bring him in for a meeting, see where his head is at and go from there. 1 year, non-guaranteed contract.

He's not on BSPN either, but they also have Chuck Person coaching the team. I thought he is now an assistant with Portland?

That was an unconfirmed rumor only one site in Portland was reporting.

Why? A player who bombed in Memphis and Washington, what would cause someone to be upset he isn't on the team? If he had never played for Lakers no one would give a rats butt about the bum.

To me it sounds like with all the general interest in the league he's trying out other options, trying to find a team before any summer camps?

Well, he probably figured that with Blake signing...his chances of making the team is very low. He might be looking for other places more likely to pick him up.

MrMichaelLee: Javaris Crittenton won't be on Lakers summer league team; still recovering from foot injury. Still? Dang. (via @Mike_Bresnahan, @BA_Turner) about 1 hour ago via web

Makes sense not wanting to get out there if he's not 100%

Why would BOTH Memphis and Washington give this poor kid a raw deal? Maybe one team he just didn't fit, but it happened at both places. There is absolutely no proof this guy can play and there is certainly no reason for people to be fretting he didn't come back. LA needs to find a better backup PG than Crittenton. Earl Watson or Shaun Livingston to go with Blake and Fisher is much better than Crittenton.
