That has to be the worst bench ever assembled in the history of the NBA.

yeah that is just disgusting. im pretty sure top ranked high school teams could hold their own against that "bench." now more than ever, FO needs to realize how badly they need to sign guys like hill, jordan hill, and jamison

We lost a Summer League game. Oh noes!

To all those people questioning why we resigned Morris...go back and look at some of the video from actual NBA games, including against OKC in the playoffs. He shows potential. He isn't going to ball his brains out in summer league, he already has a guaranteed contract. Usually, the guys that play the hardest during the summer league are guys on the cut line from their rookie rights or guys trying to make a 14th or 15th roster spot on one team.

Having said that, I am a bit disheartened that Eyenga, DJO and Morris played so poorly. I was counting on getting some quality minutes late in blow outs or garbage time from them...well, one SL game does not a player's value define. Here's to a better outing next time

EDIT: Also, remember, the Lakers would more than likely try to develop the weakest parts of each players game...especially guys that are most likely going to make the roster. Just something to think about...

50 pts in a summer league game. Wow, that's embarassing. Let' quickly cut all of these scrubs and pick up Scola or someone half decent that are getting amnestied. A 1 legged Gilbert Arenas look like a superstar right now next to these scrubs.

It’s sad that the Laker’s “second unit” (Morris, Goudelock, Eyenga) had barely posted 50 points in summer league competition; there were people actually lobbying for them to play more minutes over the starters.

I noticed that almost everything said in here was offense. I rewatched the second half, and I'm impressed with Ater Majok. He ran the floor well, blocked shots well, showed good strength and aggresiveness fighting for position. The Lakers never give a **** about defensive players in SPL, unfortunately, so it might not matter.

DJO looked god awful in the second half.

I watched the first half and I was actually pretty happy with that Sacre kid. No star, but I think he could be a good practice body.

Morris looks awful in half court but he is actually fairly effective and creative on the break.

Majok, Elonu, and Sacre look like hard workers. I don't think it's enough by any stretch but it was nice to watch.

DJO has D12 shoulders. Kinda freaky looking for a small guy.

So..... Anyone think that group plus Blake and maybe Hill is championship bench? .......... Me either

Morris was overmatched in a summer league game....... He's a twisted ankle away from meaningful minutes on the Lakers....... God help us if that happens....

DJO couldn't make a shot that game but I think it'll start to fall soon and he'll be super effective. That shot fake is awesome and swishes the free throws that follow.

So far I like Glock...he's improved a bit but still needs work. DJO you can tell will get better and is confident. Sacre is has hustle and energetic but that's about it. His shot release is so slow! Morris' passing and vision is pretty good. Some of the assists I was like woah but those were fast breaks. Gotta work on half court
