Well from this thread... http://www.clublakers.com/forums/lakers ... t,270.html

You've got

Knowing Mitch, the center we traded will probably become rookie of the year and a perennial All-Star.

Cheick Samb doesn't sound like a allstar name.

Someone has to find something to be negative about I guess, it wouldn't be a Laker board without it.

This is the SUMMER LEAGUE guys!! SUMMER LEAGUE!!!

Mark Madsen had triple doubles in the summer league. Woohoo, it means he's great in pick-up games - sweet for the Pistons!

Evans for Samb was a great deal.

There has got to be something else to post about or somewhere outside to go, rather than posting laments from the freakin' SUMMER LEAGUE.

It was just a game ago when he was getting bounced around the block like a rag doll and posterized by a couple forwards.

He's slowly starting to look more like a NBA player, but he's not worthy of two threads.

It wouldn't surprise me if he became the next Ben Wallace.

I hope that was a joke.

Ben was ripped as hell in college and carried over that work ethic into the NBA and it didn't hurt that he had a huge chip on his shoulder by not being drafted.

Samb had never seen the inside of a weight room and based on his appearance now, must only be allowed in one once every other month.

Regardless of how he turned out, it will be a bad trade because Mitch got back crap for him. Lesson for Mitch, never trade away any potential, even if it's late in the 2nd round, for a role player.

Perceived value is not always the same as actual value.

It's a painful lesson in Murphy's Law when it comes to Mitch and his legacy as Laker GM.
