Why does Karl take those 30' shots?

Dunston takes it from the 3 point lane, runs right at Jason and dunks the ball.

Because Phil won't let him. Figures this is the only chance he'll get.

Karl's just a gunner, which kind of pisses me off. Shouldn't he be trying to work on the areas of his game where he struggles a bit more? Or is he just trying to show he can fill Sasha's role?

Pretty dumb play by Karl and then beaten on the defensive end b/c he can't stop the break.

His dad said he was going to work on his defense since that's what the Lakers asked of him for next season. I guess after getting worked over by Mayo, he gave up on that.

I would have laughed if they called that goaltending. And was I the only one who knew Coby was getting the ball and jacking it up?

I don't know why Coby is getting so much PT unless they know some of the others aren't going to be invited to camp. I would like to see them put Crawford in Coby's role in 3rd Q without Coby on floor and see how he would do.

I think they are really giving Karl every opportunity to show that he deserves a spot in the rotation...which is scary because he doesn't deserve it so I hope he doesn't convince them.

Did anyone get in besides
Nik Caner-Medley
Marcelus Kemp
James White
Taj Gray and the five starters in first half? That is all I saw. No Brian Roberts, Pat Calathes and Dwayne Mitchell that I saw.

Coby and Crawford are virtually guaranteed camp invites. They should give the other guys some pt to see what they can do.

I agree trodgers. He can't play D and he sure can't fill Sasha role if he walks. I hope to God that isn't what Mitch is trying to see. Crawford is better than Karl.

i know its kinda sad if i say this,

but our invites have been better than coby karl.
i EXTREMELY DISLIKE coby karl's game. its all about chucking a long 3. he has no other strengths at all. did you see him try to dribble? his behind the back dribble? i think his opponent chuckled at his attempt.

on the other hand, crawford is decent but definitely not as good as others.

of them all, i have been most impressed by dunston and bozeman. bozeman will be a decent rotation player, he can handle the ball and distribute.
a 6-6 point guard? welcome.

i also like dunston's combination of heart, hustle, and athleticism. i think he has earned a training camp spot with his rebounding and that CRAZY PLAY OF THE DAY DRIVING DUNK WHICH ROCKED THE WHOLE FREAKING GYM!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!! :man4:

hmm.. i would also like to see james white play more. he really has lots of potential and can definitely develop into a GOOD ( not just decent ) player. phil and kobe are who he needs now.

lastly, can someone explain to me why davon jefferson hasn't played a single minute? i start to feel bad for him :man6:

anyone agrees with me?

dunston > bozeman > karl > white > crawford

White is awful. He's athletic, but has zero skills.

No clue where Jefferson is.

I agree about Dunston. He's really impressed me. Hardest working guy on the team. But I would put Crawford above White and Coby. Coby is scoring by jacking up shots. Crawford is creating for himself and attacking the rim.
