The live feed for today's game went down for me at halftime. I know it wasn't my connection b/c I was still getting on any website I wanted to. Is NBC this stupid to wait until the 2 most important games and flake?

They only show the games on T.V. when it's not expected to be a blowout (e.g. 2004 Olympics).

There's no point in wasting airtime, just to show USA toy with a team.

If you mean tape delayed, then it will be shown on TV.

Live, well, you're out of luck.

its live if you get the nbc olympics basketball channel. its only for people with HD service though. jim lampley said the game is gonna be on NBC and my channel guide says it is too. probably tape delayed to 2:30 AM here on the west coast although the olympics coverage does start at 11:30 pm that night.

*EDIT*
nevermind.. its probably gonna be live. the coverage that night is only from 11:30 to 4 AM so i guess the game is gonna be first before the other events.

I got this morning's USA-Argentina game live on HDnet channel, you have to have HD service to get that, though. Time Warner channel 422 in the Valley.

I expect to get the gold medal game live on that channel too. Some days when the games have been on at 5am, I've recorded them so I could keep sleeping.

If you don't have the HD service (which I dont :bang: ) it will show at the sametime they showed it on the East Coast. Like todays game was shown at 10am live on the EC but tape delayed to show the same time 10am on the WC. I find it remarkably stupid that they do that because every fricken chanel or website you go to has the results on it before it even starts here on WC.

^i dont think its gonna be tape delayed. the olympics coverage only goes until 4 AM and if it were to start at 2:30 AM then it would go over.

That is if it is live on the West Coast they have yet to do that in this olympics. I have gotten sick of Bob Costas talking as if something is "just about" to happen even though ESPN posted the results 4 hours earlier. I am not saying I don't like Bob I just have a strong hate for how NBC is playing these replays especially with the very large "LIVE" in the top right corner of the screen.
