Navarro won't play a few games because of his fascitis plantar. Fernandez won't play tonight because of his back surgery, he will play tomorrow against France.

Spain wins by 24 to France in Madrid. Sunday they'll play again in Paris.

Parker played first 6 minutes only, they are taking it slow with him because of the injury. Rudy played but Navarro still didn't played.

Very physical game today.

Ey man, do you know what happened between Fernandez and Gelabale ? Maybe in the french coverage they said something. If anyone is asking, people were booing Fernandez for the stupid dirty foul he made in the Eurobasket Final game.

Fernandez kind of stared him down and Gelabale threw a couple of punches ...

Gelabale may get suspended a couple of games as the refs briefed FIBA about this "event" after the game

Wow, that was what i saw, but i was thinking maybe there were something more. Maybe Rudy did something to him because that sound just crazy. Maybe retaliation because the Fernandez foul.

yeah I don't know , sounds strange ... Gelabale always seems out of control/his mind against Spain ... maybe some old "stories" from his time with Madrid

So, what is the buzz in Spain about the inevitable Spain vs. USA game? Are folks there expecting to win the Gold, or Silver?
Vitti uttered three words that surely applies to how Bryant made two free throws on one leg, walked off the court on his own and processed his rehabilitation plan amid the pain, frustration and tears.

“That’s really cool.”

Navarro and Rudy are ready to play right now, but they are getting ready to be as close as they can to 100%, mostly Navarro. Rudy came back from a back surgery and he usually is doing exercise near the bench when he's not playing. Navarro is coming back of playing half season with fascitis plantar and he was resting it. In the spanish playoff he was playing 15 mins per game. Now it seems he can play but with pain. Any given game he can be out of the olympics if he has a bad fall or something.

Marc Gasol was injured in the ankle and the neck and he is nursing them. There have been doubts if he was going to be in the olympics, but they gave him yesterday the ok. He will be playing with pain but it looks like he should be "ok".

Sergio Rodriguez was injured a couple of games ago against Australia defending a pick and roll and he got a bump in his leg. He didn't play the last couple of games but he should be playing also.
