So Kobe would have 27 now, if they didn't credit one of his layups to Wade? :disagree:

Chris Paul is talking a lot to that one guy, doesn't look friendly either.

The Australians are very determined to keep the final score under 30 points, trying to save themselves the embarrassment.

^ He interviewed Kobe

Man, my capping app screwed up and I missed the 1st QTR.

I'll try capping the replay on the NBC Olympics Basketball Channel. It's in HD also. It's supposed to replay at "12:00". I don't know if that's eastern or pacific. I'll cap at 9:00 and find out.

Kobe gave some insight on why the 1st quarter was so bad. The USA team usually likes to roam off their men and create havoc in the passing lanes. The coaching staff and the team figured out that against a Princeton style offense that Australia runs, it's better to remain attached to their man instead of roaming.

I liked Kobe's response to Craigs question of "You seem to like being behind the NBA 3-point line huh Kobe". Kobe responds " Yeah cause this line is where I usually do my turnaround fade-aways".

What is funny is I started thinking about it and Kobe is right he usually does baseline fades between 15-20 feet. Now I want to see Kobe with the turnaround 3 before the Olympics is out.
For what it's worth, the Lakers also clinched the Pacific Division, an achievement Bryant dismissed by saying "We don't hang divisions." No, only the big NBA championship banners are considered wall-worthy for the Lakers.

Which is crazy when you think about it. I mean go to your local gym and try to hit turn around fadeaway 3s on a consistent basis.

guys, go check out the replay at about 1:53:40

you could see melo walking a chinese guy towards deron and then you see deron try to run away but lebron stops him by bear hugging him. wonder what the story behind this is?

As politely as possible: I really don't see that happening. I love the kid as much as the next St. Mary's fan but right now he needs to get a jumper to offset his lack of size. Can't question his heart, quickness/speed and all that other jazz though.

not to try and be cocky, but i am on point with my fadeaways...the left side spinning towards baseline...what's ur defintion of consistent?

Over a 50% clip, over defenders, fading away from beyond the 3pt line (which would mean you're falling out of bounds if you're doing it on the sideline).

Kobe just needs to hit his damn shots...then everything is fine...

10 assists to 12 tos isn't pretty but 44% from the freethrow line is unaccaptable.

He seems to get better and better every game so we will see (and hope)
