Best game of the tournament so far.

Good job overall by all the guys.

His shooting is still off though.

He shot 7/14, 2/5 from the 3. I say thats more than adequate.

Good numbers for the NBA, but in international play that line isn't that great. He's still forcing shots.. but yah this was his best game.

Yeah on second thought, Kobe took "a million" shots. It was his fault for Melo's poor play. :freak2:

Not as worthless as Prince.

Prince could have been Joe Johnson, Mike Miller or Tyson Chandler? SMH.

Forcing shots? :man3:

All of Kobe's shots were in the flow of the offense.

LOL nobody is blaming Bryant for Melo's play. Basically USA replaced Melo with Bryant as the volume shooter on the team. Since Melo does nothing else except jumpshots, his game is going to be affected.

All 14 shots were in the flow? Did I say he forced a majority of his shots? He had a handful where you just had to question.

LOL how do you figure that with Melo? The fact that Kobe is taking a million shots per game has probably affected Melo.. but Melo has been playing fine in his reduced shooting role.
Kobe's play has nothing to do with the fact that Melo is strugglng to finish strong at the rim.

Simply don't see how he has all of a sudden "lost his explosiveness". Not to mention he's a jump shooter anyway. He'll prove you wrong soon I'm sure.

I dont mean he has lost it as in lost it forever. I just mean that he doesnt have it so far in these Championships.
He hasnt been able to get up in these games like he usually does.

No need to get defensive.

Anyway, good game. Good performances. Kobe found some kind of rhythm with his jumper and hopefully he can keep it for a few more games.

Just go back to the quote you just quoted me on. Melo does nothing else but shoot j's. SInce Kobe took his job he has nothing else to offer really. I'm not blaming Kobe for that, it's just reality. Kobe has been taking the most shots no?

I'll bet you $20 he doesn't play a single minute barring a blowout.

Wade, " I'm a solid defensive players. I don't where people get that from."

Well he is telling the truth.

I have to say I am a little concerned about our reserves

Not sure why prince is in there when there were alot of other better candiates mainly miller who can shoot or J.Johnson

I love boozer at PF and it's not his fault chandler got hurt but, man he is useless if he is going to have to play center the whole time. He is just too small.

Not sure what redd did but, wish he would be able to get more mins. Our shooting is horrendous.

Wade and Bosh destroyed Greece in that 2nd quarter. Wow. I don't care what they say about Wade in the NBA, that man is killing opposing defenses in international ball. And that was a great play in the first quarter when he saved his steal with that perfect lob to Kobe. Had me screaming "YEAH!!!" at the TV. Lebron had a couple of highlight plays too.

The defense as a whole did a credible job in the first half of not letting Greece get into an offensive rhythm and closing out Greece's 3pt shots. Greece's p&r game was frequently neutralized, which left them with not much in alternatives given the quickness of the US. Then they basically kept Greece under control in the 2nd half. That, with the steals and the blocks, was the key to the game for me.

it was a good game. U.S. showed them who is boss.

i was wondering though, why don't they have those mops that the nba uses to wipe the floor after a person falls? whenever a player falls you see a couple of guys out there with towels wiping the floor on their knees. i really don't understand that. i see that in college basketball also.

last year the big guys were melo, joe johnson, and redd
this year it's been a lot of wade, but i'm also extremely impressed with bosh and his fit into the international game.

Haha and he got yanked to the bench immediately after that.

He had LeBron trailing, but it was just a bad play.

I just finished watching the first half of this game. Man, Wade, LeBron, Bosh and Kobe played great. Wade was scoring all over, Kobe was dishing beautiful dimes, LeBron was LeBron and Bosh was playing hard, showing great skill down low. That alley-oop from Wade to Kobe as he flew out of bounds was incredible.
