How would the 08-09 Lakers do in the Olympics?

If our 08-09 roster was representing USA, how would we do.
Imagine Gasol played for us and Spain, and so did all the other Euros on the team.

How do you think they would finish? Do you think they could get first?

Basically mostly our roster is European people.

eh, id rather imagine us playing with our American players

its more realistic and its kind of pointless to pretend Pau or Sasha will be playing

so lets see, it would be

Bynum /Mihm
Odom/Powell
Ariza/ Walton /Newble
Bryant/Karl /Crawford
Fisher /Farmar

ok so pretend we kept Newble and use both Carl and Crawford ot make it 12 players.

This team I think would get at least as far as China got this year

assuming MIhm can come anywhere close to how he played before getting injured, then maybe even better

of course this team would rely heavily on Kobe Bryant and he wouldhae the ball a lot, which we didn't see so it very hard to guess how well or bad this team would be.

whats funny though is that this might be bett better than the 04-05 Lakers team, LOL

Kobe > any internation team

also Odom is good suited for international game and Bynum is a monster that can't be stopped inside.

Even if you took all the non-Americans off the Lakers I think a healthy Lakers team would win the gold. We have the best player on the planet playing with a team that he has years of chemistry with.

Chemistry is under-rated. The hundreds of games and practices this team has gone through together would be enough to pull them through.

Pau against pau?

I think we'd win gold.

At least our Pau would know he wouldn't be playing against a physical defender.
