Yeah Kobe's not going to play the whole game, but i think your going out on a limb when your telling me that the best player on the whole team isnt going to have some significant minutes. He will.

I donno. I wouldn't be surprised to see him get like 20-25 minutes a game.

well...yeah the team is stacked, they might not even need him to play that much.

But make NO mistake about, Kobe by far is the best player on that team. He is the difference maker. I'll go as far and say America will bring back the gold and a huge reason will be because of him alone.

Kinda being a Kobe homer, but after watching TEAM USA make me ill for the past 5-6 years, I can def tell that having Kobe play for team USA, is going to make a huge difference.

If anything bro, he's going to shame - with his effort and hustle - the rest of the team into not giving up.

i dont think they will invite Von wafer :man3: :man11:

If Allen and Redd are not on that team, we mine as well not even show up for the Olympics. Outside shooting is essential if you want to win.

That's what Kobe is for - plus he's used to physical play, so he won't get checked easily.

So because Kobe is on the team, that makes everything better? Unless Kobe is planning on scoring 40+ per game, we need shooters.

He's just saying that Kobe's intensity and effort being at such a high level will, embarass players that are aren't giving the all or die type of effort into trying to redeem that embarassment by going all out.

That squad has it all... solid Defense from the guards and bigs(excluding LeBron), crowd pleasers in Kobe, LeBron, unstoppable in the post with Amare and Dwight, and everybody there is an offensive juggernauts when they go off.

To be able to win in the olympics you need good shooters and players able to break the zone. Having that said a combo of Howard, Lebron, and Kobe alone will be able to win the olympics. Lebron to break the zone, Howard to help break the zone, and Kobe to rip the hearts out of the other team.

The biggest thing that Kobe brings to TEAM USA is his background. He's an American NBA player with a thorough understanding of international style and rules. He's our inside man. These last few years, we've had a bunch of talented players that had we been playing by NBA rules, we'd mop the floor with them. NBA Tim Duncan...HoFer....Olympic Team Timmy....not so much.

We'r all gonna see the difference very quickly.

PG: Kidd / Billups / Deron Williams
SG: Kobe / Redd
SF: Lebron / Melo / Durant
PF: Amare / Battier
C: Dwight / Bosh

I think that will be the final roster and depth chart. I know Durant's name sticks out in that roster. But, it's pretty much been protocol over the years for a top college player to be on the team, even if they get little to no playing time. Morrison was on the team last year and I believe Laettner was on the Dream Team.

Even though we have a great lineup, it's not going to be a walk in the park come tournament time. Teamwork is above all the talent you can put on the court.

Also why isn't Ray Allen playing? They said he was committed to USA basketball.

Why? Kidd plays All-NBA defense and the better playmaker

Yes he was but he has many setbacks from injuries to surgeries to pain and suffering. Sad.

chris paul plays great defense but is quicker and chauncey is just as good a defender but is a much better shooter with obviously not as good playmaking.
