He is a leader, Kobe is a leader, Kidd is a leader...whe you play on a team like this, everybody has leadership qualities.

The leader doesn't have to be the best player on the team. I mean Kobe is obviously the best player but I dont have a problem with Lebron being the leader. Having said that, I think Kidd or Kobe are more of the leaders on the team.

get off his back he said hes a leader along with kobe, kidd, and melo. though i do not think he likes kobe because he always goes at kobe and mentions him last.

lebron probably feels as if he is to take the reigns as the leagues best player he has to get past kobe who continues to show him up in head to head matches.

also lebron always seems to gain steam in his pursuit and then kobe hits a game winner or scores 50. i'm starting to wonder if he is just as attention dependant as kobe.

lebron was unquestionably the man last year and he probably a little pissed with the arrival of kobe taking all of the media and players with him. people are naturally in awe of kobe positively or negatively they can't stop talking about him. lebron will get there soon just not yet.

Honestly, I think if anyone is THE leader of this team it's Jason Kidd, and it should be. If there's anyone that these young guys should be listening to about playing ball the right way and following a veteran who's been there it's Kidd. After him it's Kobe because he's clutch and he has 3 rings, but Kidd is the elder statesman.

I don't mind Kidd being leader of the team either. What pissses me off is that Lebron thinks he's number 1 leader of the team.

Exactly. Kidd is the only guy that every player on the team will listen to. You could see that clearly yesterday. He is respected.

While Kobe is respected as well it is different than Kidd. Kobe is the guy that they know they can turn to when the going gets rough to keep them in or take over and win the game.
