Men's Preliminary Round

Men's Preliminary Round

Postby karacha on Sat Aug 09, 2008 8:20 pm

OK, this is about other teams, so let's start...

Today, Russia demolished Iran 71-49.

Germany-Angola is now live. Score is 6-5. This should be an interesting game and you can watch everything live at

http://www.nbcolympics.com/

Tomorrow morning Criatia is playing against Australia. This should be an excellent game, followed by USA-China, of course.

Well, Germany really toyed with Angola. Dirk and Kaman play well together and were unstoppable, as expected. Interestingly enough, Kaman did not rebound much, but he did score a lot.

Their point guard, Hamman, (I think) looked pretty good.

Yup, well check your cable guide thingy.. but for mine it says at 11 PM on the USA channel "In Live men's basketball, 2004 champ Argentina meets Lithuania and Spain faces Greece".. unfortunately the coverage goes from 11 PM to 11 AM tomorrow.. so the game could be any time in between.

thanks, and yes I did check the nbaolympics.com schedule for bball and I did not see Spain vs. Greece. SO that is why I am confused

Hmm, are you sure it's 2:30 AM pacific time? It says that the USA/China game is at 1015 PM.. and that means it's at 715 AM pacific time [although we won't get to see it on tv til 10 AM].. so with that formula that's why I think the Spain game is at 11:30 PM tonight. Although I am really not sure at all LOL

No i think you are right, because I just checked the bball schedule on NBAOlympics.com and sure enough at 11:30 pm pct. its SPain vs. Greece, plus the badmitten game just ended. So this could mean the game is coming up next on TV.

IMO, USA, Argentina, and Spain are all in a tier by their own, with Greece leading the second tier.

I don't know, Greece doesn't have the talent on paper but the way they play is ridiculous.. so in sync and they can knock down from the perimeter.. Baby Shaq is a force too.

baby shaq is completely overrated, he can't hit free throws to save his life, he's too slow, and has limited post moves.

I wouldn't be too worried about him. In fact both Greece and Spain are playing like crap right now.
