Is Odom still going to be on the Olympics Team???

Because I was just looking through the pictures and didn't see him at all but it says he's on the team roster and everything??? Did I miss something!?

YEah he is, I read it in an article.

Yes. Odom is still on TEAM USA. They've excused him from having to practice and play for them this summer citing the death of Jayden and personal matters that he has to deal with this summer. If he isn't cut before then, he'll be able to play in the '08 Olympics along with Kobe, Billups, and others who are not participating this summer/year.

That's my understanding.

Billups will be playing. But there's a big possibility that he doesn't play this summer since he and his wife are expecting a new child. Same goes with Redd, but because he's getting married this summer.

But then what does that mean today in the roster cuts and the finals 15 and having Kobe's name and Odom's name NOT ON THERE...is this for the olymkics or just for the Asia game things????

It is for the championships... the qualifying stuff...

The actual olympic games arent for 2 years....

Kobe and Lamar are more then likely going to be in those games...

Team USA wants to keep the same core guys playing together up to the Olympics..

He's still on the Olympic roster, but won't play in the world championships.
