Official roster for team USA

Boozer
Wade
Prince

what do you guys think about it?

They only have 3 bigs, i know they want to use melo as a 4 but still, i think lack of bigs will hurt them a little but they are going to be fine.

And Wade over Miller is a tragedy :man5:

That seems like a soft defensive team...

too many matadors for my taste...

Boozer? NO THANKS
same goes for Wade, Kidd and Melo for me....

Paul and Williams are both better than Kidd.

for my my team right now would be

Paul/Deron
Kobe/Redd
James/Prince /Miller
Bosh/Brand/Aldridge
Howard/Chandler

but thats just me.

well that was the official announcement, and anyways chandler can't go (i forgot why) miller didn't make the cut (thanks d-whistle) and idk why they didn't invite aldridge.

They kept Chandler off for Prince/Boozer/Bosh. Terrible decision.

If Howard gets into foul trouble, who's going to man the middle?

Also, I would have put Joe Johnson in over Wade. But the team is fine with me.. except that they only have 1 defensive big man.

I can't believe Chandler and Miller got robbed.

Boozer will be a non factor like he was in the playoffs. Wade is going to think he's a shooter out there.

Wade is on this team because of his name, he didn't do JACK when they got beat, he sucked. He can't shoot or defend, he has no business on this team, Kobe makes him irrelevant and Redd backing up Kobe makes him even MORE irrelevant. I'm not sold on Bosh either, and what happened to Amare?

They have progressed a lot but I wouldn't say they are good...they need another 10-20 years to be able to compete...they have talent but those talents do not have the chance to progress like in other countries...

Amare dropped out because he's concerned with his knees or something.

Wade was the second leading scorer for USA in the 2006 FIBA Championships while shooting 64.2 %, let's not act like he was a complete failure out there...

Why would you kick off the best PG in the league? Against the way European teams play the 1 and 5 are the most important positions on the floor. The only people who I wouldn't remove off the team or I'd select in a heart beat are Chris Paul, Deron Williams and Dwight Howard.

And with the way some games will be, you won't need a 7'2" person in the post. Bosh can play the center against most European centers. Of course, I don't know why the team has only one legit center on it and it has Kidd(who in European ball will struggle due to his inability to shoot) or Wade.

It looks like no one. Don't understand leaving Chandler off the roster. They could have at least considered Camby or another interior scorer like Al Jefferson.

Don't understand the makeup of this roster at all. Way too many guards. Why do we need Kidd, CP3 AND Deron? If we have LeBron and Melo, what the heck do we need Tayshaun for?

The U.S. must believe we can still win by sheer athleticism. Al that talk about building a roster based on needs and chemistry went right out the window. There must have been outside pressure to add all these stars.

That roster looks amazing, but I'd have put in Hinrich for Wade.

I know Wade's numbers, but whenever I saw him, he sucked. I would have put Chandler on this team too, I love his energy and his defense, he plays with a passion, he's a guy that you can say 'yeah ok, they aren't just throwing stars together, they have guys that really care, role players'. Now, we don't have that, it's all stars again.
