Olympics Basketball Knockout stage starts WED morning

Postby The Rock on Tue Aug 07, 2012 10:52 pm

If you haven't been watching, its time to start watching. Games start tomorrow (Wednesday) morning

Russia vs Lithuania 2 AM PST
Spain vs France 8.15 AM PST
Brazil vs Argentina 12PM PST
USA vs Australia 2.15 PM PST

Winner of Russia/Lithuania faces winner of Spain/France. Winner of Brazil/Argentina faces the US in Semis ;)

What are you predictions?

I think Russia advances past Lithuania
I dont like the way Spain has played especially with Navarro hurt, so I think France beats them
Argentina will beat Brazil
US blows out Australia by 30

It's sad, but we might have not tanked, we might be that bad. Also, our coach is the worst, has been since 2008.

Pau with 10 pts, 11 rebounds. Wasnt great on offense but played phenomenal defense. France didn't score last 6 minutes.

This is just...SMH

Adrian Wojnarowski:I asked Nicolas Batum why he hit Juan-Carlos Navarro in the groin. "I wanted to give him a good reason to flop," Batum said

this is what you get when crying/flopping isn't controlled during a game

Told Batum some won't think groin shot is in Olympic spirit. Batum: "Do you think if you lost a game on
purpose, that's the Olympic spirit?"

Lots of bad blood

I know the competition is heating up...but I'm happy that Pau is playing well and most of all healthy. I think Spain is really crippled without Rubio...it's too bad, hopefully they make the Finals and we get a rematch of the 08 final.

The cheapshots should not be happening though....no place for it.

Yeah, so France plays dirty all game with the refs allowing and then the hit on Navarro is spain fault. Maybe someone else is crying and not the spaniards.

This was a disgraceful game with the refs allowing France to foul every single play and you in your delusional world think Spain was flopping and crying. LOL. You have to be kidding me. Good luck next game.

Spain is the better team ... they just can't stop crying and complaining about everything ... they think they are entitled to all kind of calls ... same in Football with FC Barcelona ... lol at France fouling on every single play ...

NBC sports network and the Olympic basketball channel. It won't be on NBC until the medal game.

They've created dedicated channels for Basketball and Soccer this year. Google "NBC Olympic schedule" and you can plug in the name of your provider at NBC's website and find out what the channel numbers are.
