agreed,no hate to Kobe or Melo, Kobe is my favorite player in the league but when he gets in that groove you know its going up even if there is an easier shot available.

So if LeBron holds the ball he's just being a point guard? But if Kobe does it, he's a ballhog because according to you he doesn't look to pass.

Sometimes LeBron doesn't, and sometimes Kobe doesn't either. But it's okay I know you don't truely believe that Kobe doesn't look to pass.

I just feel any player who has point guard mentality in that he is always looking for the pass has that leeway. If LeBron holds the ball, dribbles and throws up a three, I'll criticize him.

Kobe owns

kobe's known for ballhogging at times...lebron is not....but thats just how kobe plays...he dominates the ball..as lebron can play better off the ball..but kobe is the better player.

I don't care if Kobe holds the ball, but is looking to pass. I've never criticized Kobe for "holding" the ball.. I've criticized him for what he does AFTER it.

Look, I've followed Kobe's entire career. I know when he is in that mode.. he has his head down, looking to make a play for himself... this is what he was doing against Mexico.

He did do that once during the game.

I'm willing to accept that Kobe sometimes holds onto the ball and makes retarded passes, but so does LeBron.

Btw, there's something called using the clock and taking your time. You're supposed to take your time and make the right play when you play Basketball. I don't know if you've ever played organized basketball, but the holding and catching your breath or waiting for a play is normal.

Are you even reading my posts? My criticism isn't about holding the ball.. it's about what the player does after.
