For what it's worth, the Lakers also clinched the Pacific Division, an achievement Bryant dismissed by saying "We don't hang divisions." No, only the big NBA championship banners are considered wall-worthy for the Lakers.

Hell they could have put up 180 if they wanted too. They didn't even press in the 2nd half. Big players didnt even play in the 2nd half.

elbowhead misses that 30th 3-pointer.. Still their lowest quarter was 29 points.. damn.

I don't think I've ever seen an 83 pt blowout.

The over-reliance on the three is insane though, do they even run an offense? I saw maybe five passes that turned into easy baskets. Otherwise, everything was a deep chuck. I could see it biting them against a quality opponent.

it was all nigerias fault. they pack the paint and crash the boards resulting in every single basket being an open shot. plus nigeria doesnt know how to play basketball apparently.

I only saw the second half, but what a show. I think Melo had five consequitive 3-pointers on five consequitive possessions. Absolutely stunning display by Team USA. :patriot:

it's not like he can't he doesn't even want to ... he just jabs all the time, fakes ... even when he is alone he usually waits for the defender ... he doesn't shoot off the screen that much he slows the game down a lot

Historic game ... but yeah they're going to keep chucking threes after the incredible % they ended up with tonight ...
They were at 36% before this game , not exactly outstanding .. or maybe they start adapting to the FIBA ball
