For what it's worth, the Lakers also clinched the Pacific Division, an achievement Bryant dismissed by saying "We don't hang divisions." No, only the big NBA championship banners are considered wall-worthy for the Lakers.

You are too used to nba rules. By FIBA rules, that was travelling. And it wasn't called, ever. Travelling, and some other things that wasn't ever called against the US team. But the travelling affair was scandalous.

That's not to say USA team didn't win by his own right. They are too good, and it's ridiculous to deny it. . But, when we, "fiba world", see that kind of things, leaves us with a bitter taste, at least in my case. A taste of "what would have happend if both teams played by the same rules".

I'm not "crying", I'm just pointing that the US team doesn't need that kind of help. And that this reffereing steals the shine, on our eyes, of an otherwise deserved gold medal.
